Message of Respect,Compassion Caps Youth Rally

More than 50 young people attended a Salvation Army youth rally in Great Falls, MT, so they could connect with their peers who participate in similar programs. Organizations providing youth programs include the Boy Scouts of America along with such Army groups as Sun Beams, Girl Guards and Adventure Corps. The scripture-based message given during the event stressed that all individuals are equal in the eyes of God, and are to be treated with compassion and respect.

Captain Rob Lawler of the Army’s Helena Corps said, "The kids in Helena and in Great Falls are doing similar things and it's great for them to get together and to share the camaraderie between both the cities. During the summer, they'll get to go camping together in most cases and it's just great to have those friendships outside your local community."

The rally included Zootopia themed activities, games and faith-based memory verses.

The groups finished off the day by going roller skating at Wheels of Thunder Roller Rink in Great Falls.
