Reaching 600,000 Students Where Need is Greatest

THE VISION OF THE SALVATION ARMY IS TO LEAD MEN AND WOMEN INTO A PROPER RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. THE ARMY RECOGNIZES THAT PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL RESTORATION MUST GO HAND IN HAND WITH SPIRITUAL REBIRTH. IT DOES SO IN RESPONSE TO NEED WITHOUT DISTINCTION TO RACE OR CREED.

For young people in some some regions of the world, the need for sound and accessible education is great. Often access to education is limited due to cost, remote locations of schools or lack of solid educational institutions. And for those with disabilities, education and special attention are too often non-existent. That is why the Army’s commitment to education has been trending upward over the last 25 years. Each student involved can take steps toward restoration as they are given the opportunity to work for a better future for themselves, their families and their communities.
